Our primary focus is the surveyor and engineer.
Whirrx was founded by a professional land surveyor and a certified photogrammetrist after flying
commercial drone surveys for 4 years.
Through 10+ years of research and professional service, our team has refined operational procedures
and developed a proprietary data processing pipeline to enable drones to finally be used for true
engineering grade surveys.

Steve Zeets
Steve has over 20 years of civil engineering experience and is a licensed land surveyor in Iowa. He earned his degree in Civil and Construction Technology from Hawkeye Community College and began his career in 1996 as a survey rodman. From 1996 to 2007, he worked at an engineering design firm, expanding his expertise in GIS, GPS, and IT networking. Since 2007, Steve has specialized in using manned and unmanned aircraft as survey tools.
Jeff Walsh
Jeff received his BS in Geology from North Dakota State University, 1999 and was with a handful of students accepted each semester to receive a Masters in Geographic Information Science (GIS); Remote Sensing from the University of Minnesota in 2006. He has spent 15 years designing cloud-based enterprise GIS architectures, software development, and managing complex IT systems. Jeff is a certified GIS Professional and an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist.
